Autumn has arrived; we’re delighted. There’s no better time to get cosy with a pot of tea and a lamb’s wool throw.
For those looking to turn their living space into an autumn sanctuary, this is a fun and easy process. The key ideas revolve around colour and objects. You might, for example, add a few patterned or warm tone cushions to your sofa – look out for earthy greys, deep reds, beiges, browns, purples and some shades of blue.
Throws and blankets are also big news come Autumn. John Lewis has some gorgeous designs – check out the Bronte Massid Check throws.
A lovely addition to any seating areas are pouffes, which can be used as foot rests. Loaf has a couple of gorgeous knitted low lying pouffes – we like the raspberry one.
Elegant hot water bottle covers such as the Snow Leopard from Selfridges are both stylish and practical – definitely on our shopping list!
Finally, don’t forget candles. This month they’re especially important as they will contrast nicely with any of the richer and darker tones of the season. The stunning Bernardaud Green Grapes Votive Candle by Selfridges is sure to bring a lasting glow to the room while the Scented Garden Rose Candle is an absolute must.
