Down by the Riverside

Natasha Higgins reports on Riverside Quarter, a collection of amazing riverside apartments.

The latest phase of Fraser’s Properties flagship development, Riverside Quarter, in south west London, has been launched comprising 121 stunning riverside apartments spread across two buildings.  The unique development offers a new way of life along the Wandsworth stretch of the River Thames: Residents have direct access to a Thames Clipper river taxi which takes 30 minutes into Charing Cross, as well as a shuttle bus to Putney Station.

The idea behind the scheme is to create a community, explains Dr Stanley Quek, Chief Executive of Frasers Property: “Our aim has always been to build luxury, high quality homes and create a thriving riverside community, rather than a series of apartments sold to those who live elsewhere.”

To create even more of a sense of ‘neighbourhood’, a stunning landscaped piazza sits within the development and is surrounded by amenities including restaurant Marco Polo and convenience store Hudson’s.

The great news is that buyers can move into the apartments immediately – just in time for the start of the festive season. They have all been finished to an impeccably high standard and range from luxury penthouses to two, three and four bedroom apartments. Most have views towards the river stretching from Putney Bridge to the west and Wandsworth Bridge and Canary Wharf to the east.

Each apartment is contemporary in design and has open plan living and dining rooms. Every kitchen is custom designed while the bathrooms are elegant and sophisticated. Many of the apartments also feature winter gardens and stylish terraces allowing homeowners to fully enjoy the riverside location.

Worth noting is that the development uses geothermal heating to provide renewable energy. Furthermore, as a way of preserving the local environment, Frasers Property has commissioned a £1,000,000 development of intertidal terraces as well as a new ecological zone featuring a boardwalk crossing, in order for the public to enjoy riverside walks.

At present, the development has an established community of 400 people already living in earlier phases of the scheme. The next wave of homes is due to launch early next year and once complete, this entire development will comprise 700 apartments as well as additional commercial and leisure facilities.

Riverside Quarter homes are priced from £650,000 to £1,380,000.
